olympic park

Time's running and in about 6 weeks I'll be packing my suitcases and leave the amazing city of Seoul. That's why I'm now starting to get nuts about doing different sightseeing activities. It's not that I haven't done anything so far, in fact I've already seen more than many of the exchange students here. However I don't want to go back home and think "Oh I missed this or that". So in the next few weeks I need to pull myself together and spend some more time blogging about everything I experience.

On Saturday we've spent a wonderful afternoon in Olympic Park, a legacy of the olympic games held in Seoul 1988. It is about 50 minutes away from central Seoul but definitely worth a visit, and 50 minutes is like no travelling time here. It's such a nice getaway from the noisy city. To experience the whole park it is well advised to rent a bicycle. It is so big we probably haven't even seen half of it.

For dinner we went to a restaurant where they served grilled octopus that you dip into some kind of cheese fondue. If there is one thing that the Seoul people appreciate about food, it's cheese on anything. It's wasn't like Swiss cheese, that's for sure. It was more of a creamy milk cheese with almost no flavour. Nevertheless it was super delicious in combination with the spicy seafood. To finish off this perfectly warm spring day we went to beautiful Han River once more.
