After brunch we visited Changdeokgung palace, which is in the middle of Seoul. The palace was built in 1405 and is one of the most well-preserved palaces of the five remaining royal Joseon palaces. The detailed paintings under the roof were breath taking, the colours are simply stunning. After the palace we walked back through the area of Insa-dong. This area is famous for the traditional Korean shops such as porcelain, hand pressed papers or you can just walk by various Korean food stands. We've passed by a stand, where three boys were making super delicious honey cookies.
Whenever you read a travel guide for Seoul you will certainly find a part in there talking about the fascinating contrast between the traditional places and the new ones. That's exactly what last Sunday was all about. Here you go with some more impressions of this amazing city. <3
